Murray Harper has been providing professional international removal services from the Costa del Sol for over 33 years. The company was founded in Estepona, Southern Spain, where it continues to operate from its original headquarters to this day—an enduring testament to stability, experience, and long-term commitment to the industry.

The company is owned and managed by Matthew Murray Harper, who began his career in the transport sector in the early 1980s. Originally from Worcestershire in the United Kingdom, Matthew gained invaluable experience working for two of the region’s most respected transport firms specialising in general haulage—Geoff Leighton and Eamon Carroll. These formative years provided him with a strong practical foundation, instilled high professional standards, and prepared him for what was then a demanding and highly competitive industry.
Matthew remains proud of his association with these well-established companies and extends particular thanks to Geoff Leighton for the support and guidance that helped him take the crucial step of acquiring his first vehicles. He also acknowledges the encouragement and backing of his parents, without which the business would not have been possible.
Following extensive experience within the UK transport industry—including servicing the steel sector in the West Midlands—Matthew went on to undertake removal and transport work throughout Western Europe. Over the years, this has involved operating in a wide variety of environments, from remote rural locations to densely populated towns and major cities. This breadth of experience has enabled Murray Harper to develop the expertise, adaptability, and problem-solving skills required to manage removals of all types and in all conditions.
Today, Matthew and his wife Emma are fully committed to the day-to-day running of Murray Harper from their base in Estepona, where they live with their three daughters. Their hands-on involvement ensures that every client benefits from direct management oversight, continuity of service, and a level of care that only a family-run business can provide.
Our headquarters are located at kilometre 153 of the Polígono Industrial in Estepona, just off the N-340, with convenient and straightforward access. We also operate clean, secure, and well-maintained storage facilities, which clients are welcome to visit by prior arrangement.
